Last time I introduced to you the status of the membrane structure skeleton project of the Yexing-Langfang Yongding River Bridge. A gap passed by, and now the Linkong Avenue has been fully connected, and a spectacular bridge was born. The Langfang Yongding River Super Bridge is a landmark project of the Beijing-Xiongong Expressway. It is the first super-large bridge built with membrane structure materials in China!

In midsummer, everything is in full bloom. On the surging Yongding River, the majestic Yongding River Bridge in Langfang Linkong Economic Zone looks like a “flying rainbow” across the Yongding River. Linkong Bridge is located in the section from Guangxing Road to Langzhuo on Linkong Avenue. The overall bridge length is 2047 meters, the bridge width is 47 meters, and there are eight two-way lanes. The bridge spans the Yongding River and the flood control embankments on the north and south sides. As a key project in Langfang City, this bridge not only has practicality, but also takes into account the landscape. Its elegant and light modern shape complements the distant mountains and near waters, making it a beautiful scenery in Langfang Linkong Economic Zone.

As a professional membrane structure contractor for this project, Yexing is mainly responsible for the installation and maintenance of steel membrane structures for the two giant steel structure towers on the east and west of the bridge and their special-shaped curved arch ribs, which plays a dual role of protecting the steel structure of the bridge towers and beautifying the landscape. Under the leadership of CCCC and with the strong technical support of Tianjin Urban Construction Design Institute, after three months of hard work, the membrane structure has been perfectly presented.

The membrane structure project adopts the form of frame facade curtain wall and steel structure wrapped by two layers of membrane inside and outside. When we first chose the membrane structure solution, the project was quite difficult. Nowadays, the membrane structure combines the brilliant effects of lights, and the continuous flow of people coming to check in and take pictures is the best response to the hard work of day and night.

The Langfang Yongding River Super Bridge project promotes the transportation development of Linkong New District and has also become a landmark new building in Langfang. The Linkong Bridge has become an important transportation hub linking the southern science and technology innovation zone and the northern aviation logistics zone, carrying the constant flow of traffic and connecting Langfang’s new future.
