Infinitus Plaza is the global headquarters of Infinitus Corporation in China. As well as integrating a work environment dedicated to enhancing connectivity, creativity and entrepreneurship, the new headquarters also houses the group’s herbal research facilities, a safety assessment laboratory and a learning center for conferences and exhibitions.

With an area of 185,643 square meters, Infinitus Plaza defines the gateway to Baiyun Central Business District. Located on the former site of the now-defunct Baiyun Airport, the business district connects Guangzhou city center with Feixiang Park and redeveloped new neighborhoods. Infinitus Plaza is adjacent to Feixiang Park Station of Guangzhou Metro Line 2 and straddles the subway tunnel, dividing the headquarters into two volumes that are connected to each other at different levels.

Infinitus Plaza is committed to creating a collaborative office space that is healthier and more adaptable to new ways of working. The eight floors form a series of infinite closed loops, enhancing interaction and communication between all departments. The office space is arranged around a central space and multiple courtyards, and its form echoes the infinity symbol “∞”, creating a variety of shared indoor and outdoor spaces with a strong sense of community, highlighting Infinitus’ “thinking about people” culture.

The interconnected bridge provides employees with diverse and flexible public spaces, including gymnasiums, gyms, entertainment and relaxation areas, restaurants and cafes, etc., bringing a positive impact to individual and collective health. Additionally, the bridges will connect the plaza’s office spaces to future shopping and dining areas.

The project integrates a network of sprinklers powered by a photovoltaic system, operating on a building intelligence management system, that spray atomized particles of collected rainwater onto the ETFE (tetrafluoroethylene) membrane roof above each atrium, where they are then passed through Evaporation to achieve heat dissipation and cooling. Each translucent double-layer ETFE membrane roof contains a 60cm compressed air chamber. When the outer surface temperature of the ETFE membrane rises to 35°C through solar radiation, the sprinkler network will be activated, spraying for 3-4 minutes every half hour, which can reduce the surface temperature of the membrane to 14°C, effectively making the indoor The temperature dropped by 5°C. This will also reduce the energy requirements of rooftop solar water heating systems.

In response to Guangzhou’s Baiyun Central Business District’s goal to develop into a national health industry center, Infinitus’ new headquarters combines innovative design and construction technologies with proven sustainable development strategies to create a space that unites all departments. The new working environment has enhanced the communication efficiency within the entire group.
