The integration project of Yibin Station and TOD City Station of the Chongqing Kunming High Speed Railway, an urban transportation hub built around the high-speed rail transfer center, is being orderly promoted. In this massive project, ETFE membrane structure canopy will be used to connect major functional areas such as stations, commercial complexes, and urban green core parks, creating a natural and comfortable open space for passing pedestrians.

The total amount of steel used in the steel structure of this project is about 12000 tons, including the decoration framework of the overpass, canopy, commercial main building, and single steel structures such as “Mamen Xilong”. The design concept fully combines the “bamboo culture” concept of Yibin. The design of the canopy, overpass, and commercial main building adopts a similar bionic design method, fitting similar forms of bamboo leaves, bamboo weaving, and bamboo structure. The roof uses ETFE transparent material, ensuring the simplicity and beauty of the entire design effect.

As one of the highlights and key difficulties of the project, the Tianmu Overpass requires a total of approximately 6000 tons of steel and a total of approximately 10000 components. Among them, the total length of the overpass is about 867.8 meters, and the maximum span of the canopy is about 40 meters. Both are hyperbolic bending and twisting components, paired with high aesthetic ETFE membrane structures. After the project is completed, it will connect the entire station square and become a beautiful scenic line of Green Core Park.

This is the third time that Yexing has designed and built an ETFE project for the high-speed railway station. The first two have been successful, and we believe that we can perform even better in the Yibin TOD city station integration project!
