The 3D sky curtain membrane structure project in Area B of Yuanda Shopping Plaza project is located in Hainan Yuanda Commercial Plaza, which is undertaken by Yexing Membrane Structure Company.

At present, the membrane structure part of the project has been completed.

As a “new fashion” landmark in Haikou, Yuanda Shopping Center is located in Xiuying District, Haikou, and its main business formats include: fashion department stores, Haobaike Food Hall, Tanle Children’s Paradise, China Film International Cinema, themed catering and food court.

The project applies the current new self-cleaning film material – TiO2 film material.

Under ultraviolet irradiation, TiO2 film material is made of the following two principles to make its surface achieve self-cleaning and decontamination effect. One principle is that the photoredox function of titanium dioxide oxidizes and decomposes organic pollutants. Another principle is that due to the hydrophilic group (OH group) generated on the surface of the membrane material, the surface of the membrane material reaches a superhydrophilic state that is very easy to wet.

The principle of oxidative decomposition is: titanium dioxide photocatalyst produces electrons (e-) and positive holes (+) under ultraviolet (about 400nm) irradiation. Electrons (e-) react with oxygen (O2) in the air to form a highly oxidizing hydroxyl group (-OH). At the same time, the positive pore (h+) and water (H2O) react to form superoxide anions (.). O2) and other reactive oxygen species. These products oxidize and decompose organic matter (dirt).

The principle of surface superhydrophilicity (photoexcitation hydrophilic) of titanium dioxide is: after titanium dioxide is irradiated by ultraviolet rays, oxygen (O2) detaches from the surface and lattice defects occur. At the same time, Ti4+ is reduced to Ti3+, where water molecules in the air are broken down and adsorbed, resulting in hydrophilic groups. After the surface of the membrane material becomes superhydrophilic, the water droplets wash off the dirt wrapped in ice, which is not easy to produce rain stains, achieves self-cleaning effect, and improves fouling resistance.
