The urban transportation hub site built around the high-speed rail transfer center – the TOD city station integration project of the Chongqing-Kunming High-speed Railway Yibin Station is advancing in an orderly manner. In this huge project, ETFE membrane structure canopies will be used to connect main functional areas such as stations, commercial complexes and urban green core parks, creating a natural and comfortable open space for passers-by.

The high-speed rail Yibin Station TOD City Station Integration Project covers an area of about 980 acres, with a total investment of about 10.363 billion yuan. The plan includes commercial functions such as supporting businesses and hotels in front of the high-speed rail station, industrial functions such as the headquarters base building economy, talent apartments, high-quality residences, etc. Residential function, urban green core park, Phoenix River water system and other green ecological areas. After the project is completed, it will form an independent area system with complete functions, balanced employment and housing, and ecological livability, creating a unique city gateway image display area and a high-quality urban life highland.

The total steel structure of this project uses approximately 12,000 tons, including overpasses, canopies, commercial main building decorative frames, and steel structure units such as “Mamen Xilong”. The design concept is fully integrated with Yibin’s “Bamboo Culture” concept, canopies, overpasses, etc. , the commercial main building is designed using a bionic-like design technique, fitting similar shapes of bamboo leaves, bamboo weaving, and bamboo structures. ETFE transparent materials are used on the roof to ensure that the entire design effect is simple and beautiful.

As one of the highlights and difficulties of the project, the sky bridge uses a total steel volume of approximately 6,000 tons and a total number of components of approximately 10,000. Among them, the total length of the overpass is about 867.8 meters, and the maximum span of the canopy is about 40 meters. They are all hyperbolic bending and torsion components, equipped with a high-looking ETFE membrane structure. After the project is completed, it will connect the entire station square and become a green core park. Beautiful scenery.

As the professional membrane structure contractor in the TOD City Station integration project of Yibin Station on the Chongqing-Kunming High-Speed Railway, Yexing is responsible for the in-depth design, construction and installation of the ETFE membrane structure canopy overpass. According to feedback from the project manager, the procurement and processing of related membrane materials and steel materials in the early stage are being superimposed. The project is expected to be unveiled together with the Yibin Station of the Chongqing-Kunming High-speed Railway at the end of December.
