Yexing-Lianyungang ETFE membrane structure spherical greenhouse is a green greenhouse exhibition hall integrating scientific research and education, popular science display and commercial catering with the theme of “symbiosis and integration of people and plants”, integrating high-tech means, which is the first large-scale ETFE membrane structure ecological greenhouse in China, designed and built by Yexing Group Shenzhen Yexing Membrane Structure Engineering Co., Ltd.

The spherical greenhouse exhibition hall is composed of three huge honeycomb dome hemispherical buildings full of future colors. The three hemispherical roofs are composed of 298 Pentagon and hexagon three-layer ETFE air pillow membranes with similar shape and size, and the project area is 13800 square meters. The air pillow units on the roof are arranged in an orderly manner, and the entire roof structure is evenly distributed, with reasonable stress and a strong artistic sense.

Project features: high light transmission, high thermal insulation characteristics. Lianyungang ETFE spherical greenhouse adopts colorless transparent ETFE film with light transmittance of more than 90%, which can ensure that the tropical plants planted in it get sufficient natural light; All ETFE membrane structure air pillows adopt a three-layer air pillow process, and the thermal insulation capacity reaches the level of ordinary brick walls, providing a wintering insulation environment for tropical plants planted in the museum.

Project difficulties: The single-layer grid shell spans a large span. Irregular single-layer grid shell structure, in order to pursue a simple modeling effect, adopts a single-layer grid shell structure, with a maximum span of 60 meters and a maximum arch height of 22 meters; The distribution and control of the air pillow unit on the spherical surface, the air pillow film should ensure good visual effect and force characteristics, to ensure that the area of each air pillow unit is controlled within a specific range, and the shape must be hexagonal or pentagonal, it is not easy to achieve in a specific sphere; Indoor air convection and air quality control, because this building is an exhibition hall, in order to ensure the comfort of visitors in the later operation, air convection must be realized to ensure that there is enough fresh air in the enclosed space for a long time.
